Join the Sakana AI Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) Lab as a Member of Technical Staff. The RSI Lab is a dedicated research group within Sakana AI with an ambitious mission: to redesign the AI development process itself with AI. This role offers the opportunity to work on foundational research that could reshape how AI systems are developed and improved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting foundational research on recursive self-improvement and autonomous AI system development
- Developing novel methodologies for AI-assisted AI development
- Designing and running large-scale experiments to validate research hypotheses
- Contributing to research publications and presenting findings at academic conferences
- Collaborating with other researchers and engineers on cross-disciplinary projects
- Prototyping proof-of-concept systems that demonstrate new approaches to AI development
- Engaging with the broader research community through publications, conferences, and collaborations
必須スキル
- PhD-level expertise in machine learning, AI systems, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- Strong background in deep learning, reinforcement learning, or multi-agent systems
- Demonstrated research output through publications, patents, or significant open-source contributions
- Ability to formulate and tackle novel, open-ended research problems
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks
- Excellent research and communication skills
