Join the team behind Sakana Chat 🐟, Sakana Marlin 🐬, and Sakana Fugu 🐡. As an Applied Research Engineer (Product), you will spearhead the applied research, development, and productization of advanced AI technologies to solve complex customer challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting applied research on autonomous agents and multi-agent LLM systems to address real-world problems
- Developing proof-of-concepts and prototypes that validate research findings and demonstrate commercial viability
- Productizing cutting-edge research into user-facing applications that deliver measurable value to customers
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to translate research into scalable products
- Identifying emerging AI technologies and evaluating their applicability to customer use cases
- Optimizing LLM performance for specific tasks and integrating multiple models into cohesive systems
- Conducting user research and testing to refine products based on customer feedback
- Publishing research findings and contributing to the broader AI research community
必須スキル
- Strong background in machine learning and experience with large language models (LLMs)
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace)
- Understanding of multi-agent systems and experience implementing or studying agent-based solutions
- Ability to bridge research and product development - comfortable moving between theoretical exploration and practical implementation
- Experience with prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work on ill-defined, exploratory problems
