As an Accountant in Sakana AI's Corporate Department, you will manage financial accounting functions to support the company's growth and operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- General accounting - Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Financial statements - Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements
- Reconciliation - Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Expense management - Process expenses and manage reimbursements
- Tax compliance - Assist with tax compliance and preparation
- Audit support - Support external auditors and provide documentation
- Financial reporting - Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Process improvement - Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
- Systems management - Manage accounting software and systems
- Compliance - Ensure compliance with Japanese accounting standards and regulations

- Accounting education or experience - Degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience
- Japanese accounting knowledge - Understanding of Japanese accounting standards and practices
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools (preferably accounting systems used in Japan)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with financial data and reports
- Japanese language proficiency (Business level)
